James C. Sipe, VP Operations and Strategy Enablement

James Sipe joined Border States Electric through the Shealy acquisition in 2016 where he was the vice president of operations. James was promoted to vice president strategy enablement and joined the Officers Council at Border States on April 1, 2017. , and was promoted to his current role on April 1, 2018. James is a key leader in the organization for process improvement.

With over 25 years of distribution experience, James has worked in a variety of business roles that include inside sales, outside sales, national accounts, operations (branch and corporate level) and product strategy/marketing. This diversity of experience allows him to bring people together, drive efficiency and value by facilitating repeatable process, leading successful integrations, prioritizing and delivering maximum value on strategic projects and establishing data and analytics as a core strength.

James is a graduate of The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard, which has honored him with multiple awards for service and leadership.
