Jason joined Border States in 1999 and has passionately served the organization in a variety of roles, both in the corporate office and in the field. With over two decades of leadership experience that spans sports, school, community and business, he has helped lead the organization through multibillion-dollar growth with a track record of taking care of and developing great people, empowering people to succeed and achieving results that matter. He attributes his success to the people he works with and learns from every day, at every level of the organization.

Jason currently serves as President and has responsibility for the company’s regions. He has a diverse backing serving in the areas of inventory, pricing, marketing, operations, customer and acquisition integration, and sales and management roles. Jason has served as Vice President Operations and Inventory, Senior Vice President of Procurement, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Executive Vice President of Regions. He has served on the Officers Council since 2010 and the Executive Committee since 2015 and has been instrumental in developing and executing plans for high levels of growth, service and profitability in the company.
In addition to Jason’s primary roles, he currently serves on the ESOP, Technology and Compensation committees.

Jason has been an active leader in the industry and community. He served on the Minnesota State University Moorhead’s (MSUM) Operations Management Advisory Board for nearly 15 years, and also served on the Innovation Advisory Council for IDEA and the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) LEAD committee. As chair of the LEAD committee, Jason led the organization to record conference attendance and laid a foundation for stronger industry engagement in developing the future leaders of the industry. He currently serves on the Western Region Council for NAED. Jason has been a highly engaged supporter for Border States’ United Way campaigns and a variety of charitable organizations serving those in the community who need support.

Jason is a graduate of MSUM with a degree in operations management. He received his MBA from North Dakota States University, Fargo, North Dakota, and has an associate degree from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, North Dakota, in electronics.
