Border States Builds With Habitat for Humanity

Border States is proud to support Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity through an on-site home build at our Branch Support Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

This summer, Border States is sponsoring a Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity home at the Branch Support Center (corporate office) in Fargo, North Dakota. Our employee-owners will have opportunities to volunteer and serve the project in various arenas throughout the summer.

Building a home with Habitat for Humanity is a great way for employee-owners to accomplish something significant together — creating a home for a wonderful, deserving family.

Habitat homeowners participate in the building of their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With the support of volunteers in the community, Habitat homeowners have the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Habitat for Humanity approached the Adam family late last year, asking if they would like to be a Habitat partner family in 2022. Take a look at their heart-warming selection announcement (0:00–1:14).

The build is scheduled to begin the first week of May and wrap up in August, meaning we have a lot of exciting work to do in a short amount of time. Check back in periodically to see progress photos of the build.

About Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a global, nonprofit, housing organization that works to provide adequate, affordable housing to those in need. Communities all over the world partner with them and volunteer to build or improve houses for deserving families to call home.

Habitat for Humanity has a fundamental vision: “A world where everyone has a decent place to live.” Hundreds of millions of people around the world are homeless and nearly 1.6 billion live with inadequate housing, making organizations like Habitat for Humanity essential to the survival of many in need.
