SCE&G’s 2.03 megawatt (MWDC) Otarre solar facility, completed this fall in the development corridor of Cayce, SC, sits adjacent to the corporate campus of SCANA Corporation, the utility’s parent company. The project is expected to add enough energy to SCE&G’s system to power more than 300 homes.

The facility significantly bolsters SCE&G’s clean energy initiatives, while still allowing the utility to provide safe, affordable and reliable power to its customers. It’s also helping SCE&G exceed its goal of generating at least 42 MW of utility-scale solar energy by 2020.
