– Description –
A potential anomaly exists with the 1715 Redundant I/O and AADvance analog and digital terminal assembly. On
termination assemblies manufactured starting January 1, 2018, circuit fuses may be open out of the box. Open fuses
should be replaced prior to use.
PRODUCT NOTICE
expanding human possibility™
On some termination assemblies, up to half of the 50mA input circuit fuses may be in an open state from the factory. On digital termination assemblies, this will result in channel errors indicating an open wire status. On analog termination assemblies, this will result in channel errors indicating an under range condition.
Customers receiving termination assemblies within the affected manufacturing date range are advised to test all channel circuits for open fuse conditions. If found, channel fuses must be replaced.
Note – This anomaly does not affect fuses once they have been replaced. Customers with commissioned and running systems who experience open fuses are advised to verify circuit integrity prior to requesting replacement fuses.
– Temporary Workarounds –
No temporary workaround has been identified.
– Correction –
ARC FLASH HAZARD – In a hazardous location, make sure a circuit is de-energized before you remove or replace a fuse. If the circuit is energized it is possible to make an electrical arc and cause an explosion. Failure to follow the instruction can cause injury to persons.
Where an open fuse condition has been identified, the fuse must be replaced. Rockwell Automation will make available at no charge T9901 Replacement Input Fuse 50mA (Pack of 20) kit to address fuses that are open as received from the factory. Each kit contains 20 replacement fuses. Contact your local Rockwell Automation Distributor, Sales Office, or other place of purchase to request replacement fuse kits. Reference this Product Notice PN 2019-09-002 when requesting replacement fuse kits.
Refer to the AADvance Controller Troubleshooting and Maintenance Manual, publication ICSTT-RM406I, Replacing Channel Fuses / Replace an Input Fuse section for detailed instructions for fuse replacement. These instructions apply to both the 1715 Redundant I/O and AADvance versions of this assembly. A subset of these instructions is attached as Appendix B to this notification.
Until further notice, Rockwell Automation will not accept requests for repair or replacement of potentially affected assemblies. When the results of current investigations have completed additional guidance will be provided.

– Description –
A potential anomaly exists with the PowerFlex 753 and PowerFlex 755 Frame 7 DC Common Bus Input. Connectors used to secure the DC flexible bus bar link may have been improperly torqued. The proper torque levels for these connections is 46 in-lbs.
– Temporary Workarounds –
No workaround has been identified. Affected product must be corrected as described in the Correction section of this document.
– Correction –
ATTENTION: Only persons skilled in the maintenance of industrial control and electrical equipment should attempt to perform the following remediation actions. Failure to follow industry standard safety procedures, including Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO) and use of appropriate levels of personal protective equipment (PPE), may result in harm to personnel or loss of equipment.
ATTENTION: To avoid an electric shock hazard, verify that the voltage on the bus capacitors has discharged completely before servicing.
Measure the DC bus voltage at the power terminal block by measuring between the +DC and -DC terminals (see Figure 95 and Figure 14 for location) or between the +DC and -DC test point sockets, if equipped. Also measure between the +DC terminal or test point and the chassis, and between the -DC terminal or test point and the chassis. The voltage must be zero for all three measurements.
Correction requires tightening the affected connections to the proper torque level of 46 in-lbs. The required tools for this procedure are a flat blade screwdriver and a calibrated torque wrench set to 46 in-lbs and using an M8 socket.
1. Disconnect the PowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755 Drive from all power sources, following appropriate LOTO procedures.
2. Open the PowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755 Drive by loosening the four screws located in each corner of the cover panel with a standard flat blade screwdriver.
PRODUCT NOTICE
expanding human possibility™
3. With the cover removed, locate the DC common input bus in the bottom left corner of the drive unit. The DC
flexible bus bar link connection is the left most connection as shown in the following images.
PRODUCT NOTICE
expanding human possibility™
4. Inspect the area around the DC Common Input Bus for signs of overheating, such as heat damage to the terminal block or bus bar insulation. If your PowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755 shows signs of overheating, return your drive for repair or replacement.
In the example shown to the left, the left bus bar insulation is damaged and the terminal connection pads are discolored.
If your product shows evidence of overheating such as shown here, return your drive for repair or replacement. If there is no evidence of overheating, continue to the next step to verify the torque.
5. Using a calibrated torque wrench set to 46 in-lbs and using an M8 socket, tighten the left DC flexible bus bar connection. Customers are advised to verify torque of all customer connections at this time.
6. When the torque of all connections has been verified, re-install the drive cover with the four cover screws.
For future identification, customers are advised to place a small label with the text “PN 2019-09-001” on or near the nameplate as evidence that the correction action steps have been completed.
Product that shows signs of overheating should be returned for repair or replacement. Contact your Rockwell Automation Distributor or other place of purchase to request warranty repair or replacement product. Reference this Product Notice PN 2019-09-001 when requesting repair or replacement product.
For customers with unopened product, customers are advised to attach a copy of this notification to the PowerFlex 753 or PowerFlex 755 DC Common Bus Input product carton to ensure connections are properly torqued during installation.
Rockwell Automation will accept requests for repair (where applicable) or replacement product for a period of 18 months from the initial publication of this Product Notice.

– Description –
A potential anomaly exists with the ISaGRAF Workbench and IEC1131 Trusted Toolset. Depending on the product versions, customers may experience behaviors that result in program execution different from the designed application.
For ISaGRAF Workbench V3 and IEC1131 Trusted Toolset, program code may appear viewable, but the program does not execute. No warning message is provided. In addition, values viewed in function blocks may not be the same as the actual values when connected to a controller.
For ISaGRAF Workbench V6.3 through V6.5, when used with CAM3 using controllers depending on version 3 of the product, the program will execute, but execution may not follow the expected function block order. Function blocks towards the bottom of the function block diagram may execute ahead of other blocks.
– Temporary Workarounds –
This anomaly affects larger programs. Customer may try to reduce the size of their programs by limiting the number of instructions and / or function blocks. All program changes should be verified to insure all program function blocks execute properly.

– Description –
A potential anomaly exists with the Allen-Bradley® 1715-AENTR Ethernet/IP Adaptor Module, the AADvance® T9110
Processor Module, and the AADvance T9120 Processor Eurocard. When used with redundant power supplies, the
affected module may not detect and report the loss of a single supply. If the redundant supply is subsequently lost,
the control system will lose all power and shut down without system notification.
Internal to the potentially affected modules are blocking diodes that prevent power from one power supply affecting
the detection circuitry for the other power supply. When a single supply becomes non-operational, the detection
circuitry signals the system of the loss resulting in an LED indication on the module’s faceplate and the generation of
a fault alarm. The system will continue to operate on the remaining supply.
On a small percentage of modules, the blocking diodes may allow power from the remaining operational power
supply to affect the detection circuitry for the non-operational power supply. This will prevent detection circuitry for
the non-operational supply from signaling a loss supply condition to the system.
